YSU’s old-school interior grinder with brains, production, and punch
Nick DeKraker is best known for being more than just a space-eating DT: in the 2012 season, he led Youngstown State in sacks with 5, added 26 tackles, and earned first-team academic all-conference honors, which screams high motor and high IQ[5][10]. Earlier at Grand Rapids CC, he posted 64 tackles, 4 sacks, and 50 tackles for loss in the 2010 season, backing up the idea that he can disrupt plays, not just absorb blocks[3]. He also earned YSU’s FCS ADA Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition, a nice clue that he brings maturity, consistency, and coachability[5]. If your team wants a disciplined, productive interior lineman with edge and academic reliability, he fits the bill.
