Matt Wiser brings downhill linebacker grit and proven tackle production to Utah State
Matt Wiser’s Utah State profile is built on run support, toughness, and consistency: in the 2017 season, he led the Aggies in tackles with 54 and posted a career-high 15 stops against Boise State, earning praise for helping anchor the defense against the run[6]. Earlier Utah State coverage also described him as someone who “played his heart out every play,” which fits the vibe of a reliable, high-motor linebacker who can set the tone physically[4]. If your team wants a plug-and-play tackler with grit and edge, Wiser is the kind of defender who makes everyone else look a little more violent—in the best football way[4][6].
