Kolby McGowan brings veteran depth and steady cornerback energy to Cornell
Kolby McGowan is a compact, experienced Cornell corner who earned his stripes as a senior in 2021 by playing in all 10 games, posting 15 tackles, and contributing on special teams, with his season-best three tackles coming at Yale. Cornell’s own outlook described him as part of the cornerback mix competing for snaps, which hints at a reliable, team-first defender rather than a flashy stat collector. He looks like the kind of fit coaches love: physical enough to stick in coverage, versatile enough to help on special teams, and mature enough to handle a role without drama.
