From UMass Bench Spark to High School Coaching Standout
Abbey Lalime, a former guard for the Massachusetts Minutewomen, appeared in 12 games as a freshman in the 2010-11 season, averaging 2.7 points and 1.2 rebounds per game in limited minutes off the bench, including a key jumper in a tough loss to ECU. She later transferred to Stonehill College, averaging 2.6 points across 29 games in 2012-13 as a reliable reserve. Now coaching high school at Lake Region, Vermont, she's praised for developing talent like Keira Quintal (5 PPG, playoff leader)—showcasing her basketball IQ, work ethic, and mentorship skills; a smart, gritty fit for teams valuing veteran poise over flash.
