Donald Payne is a Stetson legend still setting the standard for production and playmaking
Donald Payne’s Stetson résumé is outrageous: in his 2014-16 seasons, he piled up 538 career tackles, 65.5 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, nine interceptions, and five defensive/special-teams touchdowns, while earning three All-American honors and three Pioneer Football League Defensive Player of the Year awards[1][2]. He’s the kind of defender who changes games with range, instincts, and relentless intensity, and the big differentiator is that his production wasn’t empty volume — he consistently lived in the backfield and made impact plays all over the field[1][2].
