Wil Powell is a dynamic, high-upside defensive playmaker for the Gold Coast Suns
Wil Powell has developed into one of Gold Coast’s most influential ball-users, combining elite speed, clean disposal and rebounding drive from defense with enough toughness to win contested ball and spark transition. In 2025, he averaged 16.3 disposals and 4.9 marks across 23 games, while earlier draft notes highlighted his speed, agility and contested-ball ability as separator traits. He fits teams that want a confident, attacking defender who can turn pressure into offense; the main watch-out is that his game is more impact-driven than pure aerial dominance, so role fit matters.
