Macon Winslow brings pop, polish, and a pro catcher's frame to UNC
Winslow has been a high-value two-way catcher: in the 2025 season at Duke, he hit .278 with 9 home runs, 48 RBI, a .391 on-base percentage, and was ranked the 37th-best catcher entering the season by D1Baseball; in 2026 at North Carolina, he immediately became a top-order bat and steady defender, earning Third-Team All-ACC honors while throwing out 8 of 18 runners for one of the league’s best caught-stealing rates. He’s a right-handed catcher with real game power, strong plate discipline, and enough athleticism to handle a heavy workload, which makes him a fit if a team wants offense without sacrificing toughness behind the plate.
