Hunter Azemar brings power-built catcher profile with developing 2026 production for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Azemar is a big, right-handed catcher at 6'2", 230 pounds who has shown usable offense in 2026, posting a .204 average with 21 hits and 14 RBI for Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.[2] What makes him worth tracking is the classic catcher value package: physicality, power potential, and a profile that can help a staff manage the run game and the pitching staff, even if the bat is still developing.[1][2] The main question is consistency—his current line suggests a work-in-progress hitter, but the frame and position give him real roster fit as a defense-first depth piece with upside.[1][2]
