Georgia State Forward Jamar Taylor: Limited Production but High-IQ Defender with Leadership Upside
During his time at Georgia State (2011-12 season), Taylor appeared in 29 games with just four starts, averaging under 1.0 points per game—well below national averages. However, the 6'1" forward from Inglewood, CA distinguishes himself through elite defensive intensity, high basketball IQ, and exceptional character traits including leadership, toughness, and unselfishness. Taylor's willingness to sacrifice his body on defense and his humble, loyal demeanor make him a valuable locker room presence and potential defensive specialist, though offensive development remains a concern for roster consideration.
