Jax Hackett brings proven linebacker bloodlines and a blue-collar edge to Furman
Hackett is a physically mature, assignment-sound inside linebacker whose value goes beyond box-score fireworks: Furman’s 2026 preview groups him among the Paladins’ proven returning veterans, and his background includes a high-school résumé built on 110 tackles, three interceptions, captaincy, and all-conference honors. He also carries a football pedigree through his father, former NFL linebacker Dino Hackett, which fits the profile of a player with instincts, toughness, and a competitive floor. If you want a steady, hard-nosed LB who should understand the game and the moment, he’s worth a look.
