Silvano Altamirano brings veteran JUCO toughness to Maryland’s offensive line
Silvano Altamirano is a senior Maryland offensive lineman who arrived with junior-college pedigree and the kind of old-school, lunch-pail profile coaches love: he has been listed at 6-2 and 290 pounds and started all 12 games at left guard in Maryland’s recent senior-season roster notes. His value is less about flashy stats and more about reliability, physicality, and interior depth—exactly the sort of steady piece that helps an offense stay on schedule. If a team wants a seasoned, low-drama line body with proven game experience, he fits the bill.
