Tamarcus Cooley brings LSU a proven, high-motor back-end anchor
In the 2025 season, Tamarcus Cooley started all 13 games for LSU and posted 70 tackles, 2 interceptions, and a team-high 777 defensive snaps, giving the Tigers a steady, experienced presence at safety. He’s a tough, versatile defender who can play deep safety or nickel, and evaluators praise his range, effort, and readiness to handle a large workload. The knock is occasional missed tackles and coverage lapses, but the fit is obvious: if your team wants a battle-tested, physical DB who plays fast and hard, Cooley is your guy.
