Ashley Sawai keeps UC Davis in the fight from the circle
In the 2026 season, UC Davis right-hander Ashley Sawai looked like the Aggies’ true engine: she was named All-Big West honorable mention, logged 121.0 innings with 70 strikeouts, and delivered a 11-inning gem that earned Big West Pitcher of the Week. She’s a proven workhorse with poise in pressure spots, already recognized as the 2024 Big West Freshman Pitcher of the Year and a 2026 preseason all-conference pick. If your team wants a starter who can absorb innings, compete deep into games, and has legit conference-level pedigree, Sawai is absolutely worth the attention.
