Jake Zimmer brings veteran depth and special-teams grit to Buffalo’s linebacker room
In the 2023 season, Jake Zimmer appeared in five games for Buffalo, playing primarily on special teams and finishing with one tackle; across his career, he’s been more of a steady depth piece than a stat-sheet hunter. His value is in experience, reliability, and walk-on toughness—he’s the kind of linebacker who earns coaches’ trust by doing the unglamorous work, not by chasing highlights. If a team wants a dependable, assignment-sound defender with a blue-collar edge, Zimmer fits the mold.
