Markel Gladney brings veteran DB experience and academic discipline to MVSU
Markel Gladney is a veteran defensive back with a long football track record, including earlier college stops at Jackson State and Mississippi Valley State, plus a documented high-school résumé as a ball hawk with 4 interceptions and 13 passes defended in one season. His value looks more like steady, experienced secondary depth than flashy headline stats: he has the frame, familiarity, and versatility coaches like in a DB room, and he has also appeared on Mississippi Valley State’s scholar-athlete honor roll. If you want a reliable, mature defensive back who can compete, communicate, and fit a team-first culture, he checks a lot of boxes.
