Wesley Maze brings compact, physical LB upside for Louisiana
Wesley Maze is a 6-1, 224-pound linebacker for Louisiana whose appeal is built more on frame and future fit than flashy production: ESPN lists him with 5 tackles in the 2022 season, and the Ragin’ Cajuns roster identifies him as a freshman from Bell City, Louisiana, out of St. Louis Catholic. That profile suggests a developmental defender who could be valuable if he adds range and special-teams punch; the interesting part is the body type and local-talent pedigree, not a stat-sheet takeover—yet.
