Jamarqueza Mims brings veteran backfield energy to Southern
Jamarqueza Mims is a Southern University running back whose most visible strength has been his all-purpose, do-it-all profile rather than one flashy stat line, with his early Southern stat log showing touches as both a runner and receiver. A Shreveport Evangel product, he was listed at 5-10, 201 on Southern’s signing-day coverage, which suggests a compact, physical build that fits a downhill, contact-seeking style. The best case for him is simple: if Southern wants a back who can handle tough yards, stay versatile, and add depth with experience, Mims has the frame and background to make sense.
