Rice's 6-5 Turkish guard brings size, passing feel, and mature role-player value
Cavit Ege Havsa is a 6-5 graduate-student guard who offers unusual size for the position, solid playmaking, and efficient complementary scoring for Rice, with career college averages of 3.7 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. In his 2020-21 season at Rice, he averaged 4.6 points and 2.4 rebounds while ranking second on the team in assists, and he later showed he could stretch the floor by shooting 37.5% from three in a prior season. He looks like a smart, low-drama connector who can handle, pass, and defend bigger guards—useful if your roster needs versatility rather than shot-hunting flair.
