6-2 WR with Untapped Potential and All-Conference Pedigree at North Carolina
Darien McNeill, a 6-2, 190-lb wide receiver from Sanford, NC, stands out for his dual-threat pedigree as an all-conference safety and WR in high school, showcasing rare defensive instincts that translate to elite route-running precision and field awareness. While his 2024 stats (9 catches, 114 yards, 1 TD in 12 games) reflect untapped potential rather than dominance, his intensity level is unmatched—he plays with a chip-on-h shoulder mentality, often outworking defenders in critical moments. McNeill’s differentiator is his versatility and football IQ, making him a high-fit prospect for teams needing a smart, adaptable WR who can also contribute in secondary roles. No major injury history, but he’s still developing consistency; his personality is driven, resilient, and team-first.
