A.J. Groeneveld brings on-base juice, speed, and lineup versatility to Tulane
In the 2026 season, A.J. Groeneveld appeared in 14 games with six starts before an injury ended his year, but he still showed his value by hitting .222 with a .447 on-base percentage, 11 walks, and three-RBI impact games that hint at a patient, disciplined bat.[1] The bigger draw is his two-way fit as an INF/OF with proven speed and versatility after a 2025 freshman year at Eastern Kentucky where he hit .300, went 11-for-11 on stolen bases, and earned All-Freshman honors.[4][10] If you want a contact-minded, multi-position piece who can pressure defenses and fill gaps, he’s a smart roster fit; if you need pure power, that’s not his calling card.[1][4]
