Eric De Costa brings mid-80s-to-low-90s heat and relief upside to West Georgia
De Costa is a transfer-portal right-handed pitcher for West Georgia whose calling card is a fastball sitting 88–92 mph with a slider/changeup mix, and he showed strikeout flashes in a brief summer outing with 2 Ks in 1 inning. He has also been described by Prep Baseball Report with a 7.44 60-yard dash, hinting at usable athleticism beyond the mound. In 2026, he logged two appearances for UWG, striking out two in 1.1 innings, so he profiles more as a developmental arm with intriguing stuff than a finished product.
