Owen Shipman brings strikeout upside and award-winning pedigree to Queens
In the 2026 season, Queens right-hander Owen Shipman has shown swing-and-miss ability with 28 strikeouts, even as his 9.09 ERA and 0-2 record suggest he’s still ironing out consistency at the Division I level. The bigger story is the résumé: he arrives with CSAC Pitcher of the Year honors, two all-conference selections, and a reputation as a competitive, right-handed starter with real upside. Add in a reported 6'1", 175-pound frame and strong prospect background from Perfect Game/PBR, and he looks like a developmental arm worth betting on.
