Bucknell's Defensive Anchor and Academic Star (2002-03 Season)
Dan Blankenship, Bucknell's senior guard, averaged 7.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game at 37.2% FG in the 2002-03 season, shining as the Bison's premier defensive stopper and co-captain alongside Boakai Lalugba. A two-time Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Verizon Academic All-District honoree, his clutch play—like key layups in tight games—and leadership make him a high-IQ, relentless competitor ideal for teams valuing two-way guards with character over raw scoring.
