Bethune-Cookman DB with Tackling Upside and Transfer Pedigree
Maurice Roberts, a hard-hitting defensive back for the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats, showcased breakout potential in his first career start with a career-high 9 tackles against Bowling Green State in the 2021 season finale, building on his Western Michigan tenure where he notched consistent 3-tackle games as a freshman in 2010. His physical intensity and ball skills stand out, making him a reliable cover corner who excels in run support—ideal for teams needing versatile DBs with proven MAC/SWAC experience. No major injury flags; his gritty, high-motor play screams NFL practice squad contender.
