Kirk Broom brings veteran linebacker grit to Sam Houston
Kirk Broom is a seasoned Sam Houston linebacker with proven size and experience, listed at 6-foot-2 and 228 pounds in the 2000 season roster, and he fits the mold of a physical, dependable defender who should read as a steady presence in the middle of the defense. In his Sam Houston career, he was already trusted enough to contribute on the field early, which suggests coaches valued his toughness and football IQ as much as raw measurables.
