FAU DB Derick Zak brings tackle production and physical edge
Derick Zak’s profile at Florida Atlantic points to a **hard-nosed defensive back** who was already contributing in high school as a **third-leading tackler** and earned **All-Cape Coast Conference** honors, suggesting a player who plays with urgency and isn’t shy about contact. His fit looks best for a program that values intensity, reliability, and special-teams-style competitiveness over flashy ball production. Publicly available FAU roster information is limited, so the clearest takeaway is that Zak projects as a **tough, effort-driven secondary piece** rather than a stat-padding headline maker.
