Delaware DB with 16-Tackle, High-Intensity 2022 Season
Riah Burton, a defensive back for the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens, delivered a high-intensity 2022 season with 16 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 2 pass breakups across 12 games (one start)[2][4]. His differentiator isn't just stats—it's his relentless coverage intensity and football IQ, which helped Delaware rank fifth in CAA total defense in 2021[3]. Burton, who plays alongside his brother Frank Burton III on the Blue Hens' defensive unit[6], shows strong team fit potential due to his reliability, adaptability, and family-rooted discipline. No known injury history, and his personality traits reflect a focused, team-first mindset. Why care? He's a data-driven, battle-tested DB who elevates any secondary with consistency and grit.
