Amanda Barnes gives Sam Houston a steady, pass-first guard presence
Amanda Barnes is a compact, experienced point guard who’s built her Sam Houston value on distribution, leadership, and doing the little things that keep an offense organized. In her Sam Houston career, she was known for racking up assists and steadying the backcourt, with career totals including 183 assists and 393 points, plus a senior-season line of 58 points and 26 assists in 2016. Her differentiator is reliability: she plays with control, can run a team, and brings veteran poise rather than flash. If a roster needs a true floor general, she’s a solid fit.
