McNeese’s proven burst-and-utility back
Javaris Murray has long been a quick-hit, efficient runner for McNeese, and in the 2012 season he finished second on the team with 504 rushing yards on 86 carries while averaging 5.9 yards per carry.[4] He also showed real versatility in the 2011 spring game, contributing as a receiver with four catches for 41 yards, which hints at a back who can stay on the field in multiple roles.[9] The appeal here is the tempo: Murray looks like a back who can press gaps, create chunk gains, and add value beyond standard carries.[4][9]
