Bucknell’s clutch closer: Hadley Maxwell is turning saves into bragging rights
In the 2026 season, senior RHP Hadley Maxwell emerged as Bucknell’s late-inning hammer, posting a 2.05 ERA with 10 saves, 29 strikeouts in 26.1 innings, and holding opponents to a .232 average while helping the Bison share the Patriot League regular-season title. He also ranked eighth nationally in saves and was named Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year, which says plenty about both his arm and his runway of reliability. The big sell: a proven closer with poise, strike-throwing efficiency, and high-leverage trust—very much the guy you want when the game is wobbling.
