the steady, two-way glue guard who makes UC Irvine hum
In the 2015-16 season, Aaron Wright was a veteran UC Irvine guard who brought calm, versatility, and winning habits off the bench and into spot starts, finishing with 3.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game while helping the Anteaters to a strong 28-win season. He’s the kind of connector coach types love: reliable on the glass for a guard, willing as a passer, and unselfish enough to fit almost any system. His defining edge isn’t flash — it’s poise, toughness, and doing a little bit of everything when the game gets messy.
