Villanova LHP Carsten Finnvold Brings Left-Handed Depth, But Results Have Been Mixed
Carsten Finnvold is a 6'1", 190-pound left-handed graduate pitcher at Villanova who brings experienced bullpen depth and a track record of limiting contact better than his raw ERA suggests, but his 2026 production has been uneven with a 10.64 ERA and 8 strikeouts. He previously posted a 2-1 career mark with Florida while striking out 14 batters in 19 innings and holding opponents to a .250 average, yet missed the 2024 season because of injury and did not appear in 2025, so the big question for a team is durability and whether his left-on-left value and experience outweigh the recent inconsistency.
