Kansas State’s local tight end still in the early proving stage
Jayson Cuba is a freshman tight end at Kansas State in the 2026 season, listed at 6-foot-2 and 240 pounds, with the kind of in-state, developmental upside coaches love to mold. Kansas State’s roster page lists no statistics yet, so the story right now is projection: a young, physical TE from Newton with size to help in the run game and room to grow as a receiver. If you want an immediate stat-sheet star, he’s not there yet; if you want a long-term, toughness-first fit with local roots and upside, he’s worth keeping an eye on.
