veteran Richmond QB with proven arm talent and big-game poise
Michael Strauss is a 6-3, 211-pound redshirt senior quarterback for Richmond whose calling card has long been production, accuracy, and command; the Spiders list him on the 2026 roster in that role, and his Richmond career included record-setting passing output, highlighted by 3,808 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2013 and 543 yards in a single game against Delaware. He fits a team that values a sturdy pocket passer who can operate under pressure, though his value is more about experience, feel, and leadership than flash—classic veteran QB stuff, with a bit of Spider bite.
