ECU alum with proven offensive chops, but he’s a coach—not a current QB
Joe Sloan is not a current East Carolina quarterback; he is an ECU alum and, in the sources provided, is being discussed as a potential future offensive leader rather than an active player. His differentiator is quarterback-minded offensive experience: he has been credited with getting LSU’s offense operating at a high level in his first year as offensive coordinator, and ECU fans/media note his deep Pirate ties and familiarity with the program. If you’re asking whether he’s a fit for your team, the appeal is leadership, scheme knowledge, and recruiting/organizational credibility—not on-field QB stats.
