David Davis brings veteran size and steady trench depth to Cal
In the 2026 season, California DT David Davis is a 6-foot-0, 285-pound senior whose value is rooted in experience, leverage, and gap discipline rather than splashy box-score production.[2] His Cal profile says he has played 23 of 25 possible games in his earlier college career and logged one start, which signals a dependable rotational presence, and ESPN’s stat page shows minimal statistical output, so the appeal is in his role fit: a sturdy interior body who can help anchor run defense and keep the line organized.[1][2]
