a versatile, battle-tested interior OL with real five-spot value
Matt Burrell’s best calling card is versatility: Sam Houston’s staff valued him as a lineman who could credibly move across all five spots, with 2018-2019 usage showing starts at tackle, guard, and center. He entered Sam Houston as a highly regarded recruit and brought Power-conference experience from Ohio State, which scouts and team notes often translate into steadiness, athleticism, and football IQ. If you need a plug-and-play veteran who can stabilize a line room and handle multiple assignments without blinking, Burrell fits the brief.
