Trevor Kester-Johnson brings sneaky-valuable lefty bullpen punch to Purdue
In the 2025 season at Santa Barbara City College, Trevor Kester-Johnson posted a 1.52 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 23 strikeouts in 23 2/3 innings, and Purdue’s roster lists him as a redshirt senior LHP in 2026. He looks like a compact, strike-throwing left-hander who can miss bats, handle leverage, and give a bullpen a different look; Purdue’s notes also show he has already contributed in high-leverage relief, which fits a “trust him in tight games” profile. If a staff wants a competitive, experienced southpaw with real relief value, he’s a nice fit.
