Calvin Hissong earned a starting safety role for Central Michigan after a strong spring
In 2006 spring drills, Calvin Hissong was described by Central Michigan coaches as “incredible” and projected to enter the fall as the starter at safety, a strong sign of trust in his instincts, preparation, and playmaking ability. The clearest differentiator here is opportunity plus coaching confidence: he wasn’t just filling depth, he was winning a starting job. For a team looking for a reliable defensive back who can translate spring momentum into game-speed production, Hissong looks like a strong fit.
