veteran Toreros DE with academic chops and steady rotational value
Bakhtiari’s value is the classic coach-friendly package: a durable, assignment-sound defensive end who earned PFL Academic Honor Roll recognition in 2009 and 2010, and who appeared in all 11 games in the 2010 season while contributing 7 tackles in reserve duty[1]. He doesn’t profile as a splash-stat star, but his differentiator is reliability, toughness, and consistency in a deep football program environment[1]. If a team wants a disciplined edge defender who shows up, does the dirty work, and fits a strong culture, Bakhtiari is worth caring about[1].
