John Bureau brings real bat-to-ball pop and sneaky power to Stonehill’s infield
In the 2026 season, John Bureau has flashed an efficient, contact-oriented profile with upside: Stonehill noted his first career home run in a 2-for-5, 2-run outing against UMass on April 22, 2026, while D1Baseball listed him at .283/.365/.391 with a .757 OPS for Stonehill. He arrived with a strong track record from UConn Avery Point, where he hit .351 with 75 RBI in 2025, and one evaluator called him a hitter with “crazy bat to ball skills.” That mix of polish, on-base ability, and gap-to-power gives him real fit value for teams needing a steady infield bat.
