Iowa LB with a hard-nosed, depth-chart climb
Chad Gilson is listed as a linebacker for the Iowa Hawkeyes, but there isn’t reliable public stat data available here to support a clean 2026 performance snapshot. What makes him worth watching is the classic Iowa-fit profile: a physical, defense-first linebacker who should be valued for toughness, assignment soundness, and special-teams edge more than splashy box-score numbers. If you want a linebacker who can embrace contact, play with discipline, and add blue-collar depth, Gilson looks like the kind of Hawkeye who could earn snaps the old-fashioned way.
