Southern Miss Center Sonja Brown Brings Old-School Interior Presence
Sonja Brown’s appeal is her classic post-game value: Southern Miss has used her as a center who can score inside, rebound, and give the Lady Eagles a physical paint anchor, with earlier official game notes crediting her multiple double-doubles and double-figure scoring output in conference play. Her differentiator is reliability around the rim rather than flashy volume, which makes her a fit for teams that need toughness, screening, and low-post efficiency; the main limitation is that publicly available recent stat detail on her current season role is sparse, so evaluation leans more on her established interior profile than on up-to-the-minute production.
