Ethan Mattison is a useful lefty arm with early-career upside at FGCU
In the 2025 season, Ethan Mattison made 14 appearances with two starts for Florida Gulf Coast, went 1-1 with a 6.75 ERA, and logged 20 innings with 10 strikeouts; he also earned a win in relief against Bethune-Cookman and worked scoreless innings in several spots, including a clean frame at FAU late in the year. He redshirted in 2026, so the big question is projection: a 6-foot-2 left-hander from Park Vista who has already shown he can get outs in leverage and give FGCU innings. He looks like a developmental fit for a staff that values matchup flexibility and bullpen versatility.
