Mississippi Valley State’s Underrated Center Driving Delta Devils with Grit and 16.3 PPG
Joe Reed, the 6’8” center for Mississippi Valley State, is the Delta Devils’ most consistent offensive force, averaging 16.3 points, 1.9 assists, and 29.1 minutes per game in the 2025–26 season, while leading the team with 30 steals—a rare intensity trait for a center. Though not a stat leader in rebounds, Reed differentiates himself with relentless defensive pressure, high basketball IQ, and a no-nonsense personality that elevates team morale. He has no known injury history and plays with elite stamina, often logging back-to-back 30-minute games. His versatility as a scoring big who can guard multiple positions makes him a strong fit for teams needing a high-intensity, adaptable center. If you value grit, intensity, and a player who elevates teammates, Reed is a must-watch.
