Marika Bonner brings catcher depth and SWAC-tested grit to Mississippi Valley State
Marika Bonner is a junior catcher for Mississippi Valley State whose value goes beyond the box score: she gives the Devils a true backstop with Division I roster experience, junior-college transfer pedigree, and the kind of toughness coaches usually want in a catcher. Her 2026 stat line has been light at the plate, but she remains a lineup option in a challenging SWAC schedule, and her appeal is more about defensive reliability, game management, and fit as a hard-nosed depth piece than offensive production.
