Alabama’s lockdown boundary corner built for the big stage
In his 2020 season at Alabama, Pat Surtain II was the prototype of a press-man corner: 38 career starts, unanimous first-team All-American honors, and SEC Defensive Player of the Year recognition, with elite size, fluid hips, and real ball skills to match the hype. Evaluators consistently praised his length, recovery speed, and calm, sticky coverage style; the only knock was that he could be ultra-conservative and wasn’t always a pure turnover machine. If you want a refined, physical DB who can erase the outside and handle high-pressure matchups, he’s your guy.
