Diarra Smith brings disruptive defense and efficient scoring punch for Western Carolina
Smith is a guard who has shown he can impact games beyond the box score, flashing efficient scoring, active hands, and two-way effort in Western Carolina’s rotation; in a Feb. 1, 2025 game she went 6-for-12 from the field with two steals and an assist, and earlier career notes highlight a player who has produced double-figure scoring at times and earned MVP honors in high school. She looks like a fit for teams that want a competitive, defense-first guard with enough offensive touch to stay on the floor.
