Alex Navarrete gives Bakersfield a steady, high-leverage right arm
In the 2026 season, Alex Navarrete has been one of Cal State Bakersfield’s most dependable bullpen pieces, posting a 2-1 record with a 4.84 ERA, 1 save, 20 strikeouts, and a 1.61 WHIP across 22.1 innings, while being especially effective in Big West play with a 3.60 ERA and 10 strikeouts against just 2 walks in 10.0 conference innings. He profiles as a competitor who can handle pressure spots, including a four-inning save, and his value goes beyond the box score: he has shown versatility, poise in relief, and enough strike-throwing to matter in a competitive rotation-to-bullpen mix.
