Frank Souza brings veteran guard grit to Wake Forest’s trenches
Frank Souza is a former Wake Forest guard who, in the 2012 season, started 11 games at right guard, logged 704 snaps, and ranked second on the team with 53.5 knockdowns while grading out at 78 percent—a strong sign of reliable, physical interior play. The big takeaway: he was a dense, durable, assignment-sound blocker whose value came from consistency and toughness more than flash, which is exactly the kind of lineman coaches trust when they want the run game and pass protection to stop getting cute and start getting serious.
